That's because photographers have been fighting to make copyright metadata preserved by default and preserved as much as possible online. I was shocked to see how much was there: the most troublesome was the inclusion of my name under Copyright and Photographer. To see how much metadata could be pulled from my image. I don't want to put my name via metadata on CL and that is what LR left in.Ĭould someone please advise me how to truly strip all metadata from images for posting online and still have a decent sized image for including within post? To find this metadata, I took my image from the CL posting and dropped it into MacMetaShow (great little program!) to see what was visible after LR's export. I did a test run on CL to see how images looked within ad and to see how much metadata could be pulled from my image. Processed in Lightroom, exported with "Minimize Embedded Metadata". With tons of work, we set up white backgrounds and moved furniture to shoot. This time, I want to put code in the ad so there are a number of decent sized images (ie 800 x 800) within the posting (ie ImageShack or Photobucket). Until now, I've always used the Craigslist's feature to attach photos within the posting. Don't know where to turn with this: We're selling some stuff on Craigslist and I've hit a bit of a wall I hope someone can help here.
